Fearing God 5 - Godliness and Ministry

We live in an age where the grace of God has caused many to take God and sin lightly.   It is crucial that we really understand what it means to be in awe and deep respect of a perfect and holy God.   This alone will revolutionize the sloppy way in which we all are prone to overlook and justify the many daily sins.   But more than anything it is at the core of our need to glorify God in our thinking and believing.   It is an essential foundation to our trusting God fully.
 
In this class we spend most of the time discussing the idea that Fearing God is inseparably linked to Godliness.  We spend some time also discussing how that looks as we fight sin and even a bit of discussion on Anger

Fearing God 3 (No Fear of God pt 2)

In this class we spend the first half discussion how loving God is primarily about valuing God properly and how Fearing God is similar in nature.   It is primarily about esteeming God highly enough that it matters to me to do right.   We then continue with many verses that show what those who do NOT fear God are like and how that helps us understand what it means to fear God

In this class we are continuing the "so ... how do I do it?" part of the loving God discussion.  This lesson is primarily looking at the verses where we are shown that we have things to do on our end of this pursuit ... particularly that we must "die to self" in our pursuit of valuing Christ above all.

In this class we are starting the "so ... how do I do it?" part of the loving God discussion.  This lesson is primarily looking at the verses where we are shown that God HAS done and IS doing His part to cause our hearts to Love Him.   We also discuss how "knowing about Him" is another part of this pursuit.
